Serving and volunteering at Grace is utterly connected to growth and maturity. Scripture calls all believers to use their gifts to build up the body of Christ. We are a people who love to serve each other. We do that through many opportunities to volunteer and participate in the ministries of Grace. We also seek to foster a community of people who regularly and organically care for each other as we walk together in the ups, downs and normalcy of life.
We encourage everyone who makes Grace their home to serve and volunteer in some way. Whether serve each other and our local church by helping with the media team on a Sunday morning, helping visitors feel welcome, changing lightbulbs mid-week, helping with children and much more. Serving each other is central to our mission and understanding of Scripture. Praying for each other is starting point. But it goes much beyond this. We intentionally and creatively look for ways to serve each other as we walk through the ups, downs, and normalcy of life.
Christ calls us to serve others that are not part of our church family, as well. We serve our local community through ongoing involvement in a number of local ministries. We participate in For the City – a local summer mission alongside dozens of other churches every summer. We support our local FISH food bank and other ministries like Raffa Pregnancy Center Clinic.
We participate in God’s purposes to bring the gospel to the ends of the earth by supporting several missionaries. The Wells serve a widespread community of believers in Oaxaca, Mexico, training and supporting local believers to take the gospel beyond their city. The Skinners serve in Vancouver, BC Canada, training missionaries from all over the globe for short term missionary service.
